Nov 15, 2012Frontier Airlines Announces Expansion in TrentonLow-fare, nonstop service to four new markets Introductory fares available through Nov. 29 only at FlyFrontier.com
DENVER, November 15, 2012 -
Frontier Airlines today announced it will expand its low-fare service at
Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN), in Trenton, N.J., with the addition of
four nonstop destinations launching in late January and early February
2013. The Denver-based airline also announced that it would be basing an
Airbus A319 aircraft at Trenton-Mercer Airport to operate this new
service. Frontier is the only airline providing scheduled service out of
Trenton-Mercer Airport, the gateway to New Jersey’s state capital, all
of central New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania.
In addition to its previously announced nonstop service to Orlando, Fla.
(MCO), Frontier will now provide customers throughout New Jersey and
eastern Pennsylvania convenient, low-fare service to Fort Lauderdale,
Fla. (FLL); Fort Myers, Fla. (RSW); New Orleans, La. (MSY); and Tampa,
Fla. (TPA). This new service brings the number of nonstop destinations
served by Frontier out of Trenton-Mercer to five. Customers traveling
these new routes will find the best fares, more choice and better perks
when booking on Frontier’s website FlyFrontier.com.
Low introductory fares are available through Nov. 29 only at FlyFrontier.com.
“This is an exciting day for us at Frontier as we bring significantly
more low-fare options to the convenient Trenton-Mercer Airport,
providing a time and money saving option to customers throughout New
Jersey and Pennsylvania,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice
president, commercial. “Customers who fly from Trenton can now skip the
congested and expensive alternative hubs in the region and enjoy quick,
convenient, low-fare travel to top leisure destinations in Florida and
Louisiana.”
“The Greater Mercer County region, with more than two million people in
a 25-mile radius, is truly an untapped market, and we are pleased
Frontier joins us in recognizing its value,” said Mercer County
Executive Brian M. Hughes. “Frontier is the right partner at the right
time. We are confident the traveling public will embrace these new
destinations, and as a result, the Mercer County economy will get an
added boost.”
Following is the schedule for Frontier’s new Trenton service:
Frontier will also increase its frequencies to Orlando from two weekly
flights to four:
The new service will operate on 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft –
featuring 30 channels of DIRECTV® service available at every seat.
Additionally, these flights will offer five rows of comfortable STRETCH
seating with an additional five to seven inches of legroom, and the
airline’s SELECT seating product. Frontier’s website, FlyFrontier.com,
offers the guaranteed best fares and is the only place STRETCH and
SELECT seating is available at the time of booking.
At Trenton-Mercer airport, Frontier customers can avoid the hassles and
lines of other Northeast airports. The airport offers free parking plus
convenient access to Avis rental cars and ground transportation.
Trenton-Mercer airport is just 38 miles from downtown Philadelphia and
65 miles from midtown Manhattan, making the airport a convenient gateway
to these cities.
